It was a beautiful summer night in Barcelona and my friend and I were tired of doing touristy things and eating orgasmic food (J.K. on that latter part). I suggested to my friend that we try to get in touch with a friend-of a-friend who reigns from the city, which is how we ended in the myriad of streets, all overflowing with live music performances and people of all ages throwing confetti and dancing. Barcelona neighborhoods take turns throwing block parties every weekend, and these block parties, as you can probably tell, are not like the block parties we have back in the U.S. They’re huge and they cater to people of all ages. Carnivals for the kids, live music and game tables for the adults. Not to mention there is a lot of free, or at least cheap, beer.
